Cranford Family Care has been serving the Cranford community since 1936.

Community is Caring

Our History

Cranford Family Care was founded in 1936 during the depths of the Great Depression by local residents, houses of worship, organizations, and clubs. At that time, we were known as the Cranford Welfare Association. While the world has changed since then, our mission is still the same - to assist struggling Cranford residents to become self-sufficient.

Today, Cranford Family Care offers support to Cranford residents in the form of food or financial support. We continue to emphasize the dignity of each of our clients, and their identities are kept strictly confidential.

In addition to our mission, the other thing that has remained constant throughout our history is the immense support we receive from the Cranford community. When we say “Community is Caring”, it not only applies to the Cranford Family Care organization, but to the Cranford Community as a whole. We would be nowhere without that community support.
